Day 26: Growing Through Temptation – This is one of the hardest things to do, it’s something that we all experience on a daily basis whether we realize it or not.
This chapter explains the nine qualities that are Christlike that we must aim to acquire: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
We must learn to trust God in times of temptation, temptation allows us to grow call on God in times of trouble. Satan used his powers to tempt us when he knows that we are doing God’s work. Temptation lies around us as well as well as in us, it starts when satan suggest (through thought) that we give in to the temptation.
When overcoming temptation we must refuse to be intimidated by temptation. As Christians, we are not immune to temptation, but through overcoming temptation we grow closer to God. We must also recognize out patterns of temptation and be prepared for it, and take the neccessary steps to avoid it if possible. And lastly, ask for God’s help, even in the midst of temptation, when we call out to God he will hear us and come to our rescue. Pray and expect God to help you.
